STELLARTON, N.S. — Emergency Responders from Stellarton and Westville will hold an Emergency Responder Awareness Day in conjunction with Police Week on May 16.
The event will take place on Jubilee Avenue in front of the fire department, Sobeys Park and behind the police station between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The public are welcome to attend, visit the displays, demonstrations and tour the fire and police facilities.
Displays and events will include:
• Facility tours
• Equipment displays
• Police vehicles and equipment
• Fire vehicles and equipment
• Emergency measures procedures for citizens during disasters or crisis
• Fire service demonstrations
• Police service demonstrations
• Crime Stoppers information
• Youth Corps opportunities for youth between 12 and 18 years of age
