Cpl. Al Hamilton of the RCMP and Elvis were part of Emergency Response Day in Pictou Tuesday.  Elvis has been a police dog with the RCMP for about four years and a popular guest at the event that also included Pictou Fire Department, Pictou County Volunteer Ground Search and Rescue,  EHS and the RCMP.  Elvis is a general duty dog who is trained to track missing persons and items as well as search for drugs.

According to Dr. Janet Sommers, the number of hospitalizations due to drug overdoses hasn't changed dramatically, but the drugs being used has changed.
