The New Glasgow Fire Department battled a blaze at a former day-care on Vale Road early Tuesday morning.
The call first came in at around 1 a.m. and firefighter were then called again at 9:45 to deal with flare ups.
“With such extensive damage the investigation will be on-going,” said New Glasgow Fire Department chief Doug Dort.
The building was unoccupied.
There were no reported injuries among the first responders who had also helped fight the blaze on Water Street in the Town of Pictou on Monday.
