Two men are temporarily homeless after a mid-day fire gutted their older two-storey house in Stellarton Sunday.
Neither man was injured from the fire, reported around 1 p.m. Sunday at River Street.
Stellarton firefighters were assisted by Plymouth firefighters on the call and Westville Fire and Rescue was stationed on standby at the Stellarton hall.
Chief Dwight Campbell said the fire was in the walls of the home and spread from there. The cause is still under investigation.
The adult brothers will be staying with friends for now, and disaster volunteers from the Canadian Red Cross have helped with emergency purchases like food and clothing.
