Glen Haven Manor has launched a new generation website in an effort to provide easy-to-access and up-to-date information for residents, families and staff at the long-term care facility.
The website, launched on Friday, was built and designed by a locally owned multi-media company, RavenMedia, owned by Jon Visser.
RavenMedia worked closely with the Glen Haven team led by Donna MacLane, community, relationships and engagement; Kimberly Dickson, communications and media relations; and Janice Jordan, employee relations, to create a vision, framework, editorial content and strategic direction for the new website.
As a highlight of its launch, the new website features a video production of Glen Haven's Year in Review for 2017, developed by Visser and the Glen Haven team. Previously the Year in Review was designed as a print publication but this year the video production adds a new dimension to this communications piece for Glen Haven.
The website will allow for easy notification of changes in events, advisories and the dining menu the moment they take place. The website also sports a sleek, fresh look with new modules that will regularly change such as a Thru the Lens spot on the home page which will feature Glen Haven happenings on a weekly basis as well as news releases, stories with photos, and news coverage. Also new will be the enhanced presentation Recreation Calendar and the Residents Dining Menu.
“There is expanded information on the exceptional individualized quality long-term care services offered by Glen Haven as well as links to important resources for those interested in finding out more about long-term care at Glen Haven," said CEO Lisa Smith. "We are committed to providing easily accessible information for our residents and their families, potential residents as well as other stakeholders, the community at large and all of our partners in care.
Within the next phase of the website, a secure staff intranet will provide team members constant access to elements such as scheduling, internal communications and e-learning elements from any location via a simple to use login on all devices with internet access.
