Good Brothers visit deCoste on latest album tour

PICTOU, N.S. — PICTOU, N.S. – A career that spans over 45 years is one many musicians can only dream about. But the chemistry and harmonies produced by twin brothers Brian and Bruce and younger brother Larry Good are among the reasons The Good Brothers have remained a major part of the Canadian musical scene. 
The title of their latest album is Wide Awake Dreamin’, and The Good Brothers return to the deCoste Centre in Pictou, Sept. 27. 
Their music is timeless, ranging from country, to bluegrass and folk and touches many people with their lyrics that many relate to. While they’re well known for some of their covers like Brown Eyed Girl, Okie from Muskogee, or Fox on the Run, many of their own songs like Gone So Long, I Really Dug Myself a Hole This Time, or She Told Me So, take the listener back to those classic country songs. 
The band has garnered a number of nominations and awards over the years. They were inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004, the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame in Tennessee in 2016 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Toronto Musicians Association in 2015.
The band will be back at the deCoste Performing Arts Centre in Pictou on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
They will be bringing with them world-renowned fiddle and mandolin player, Ray Legere who hails from Sackville, N.B., whose own musical profession has been equally as vibrant over the past 35 years as he’s toured the world and recorded with top musicians in many musical genres, including Rita McNeil and John McDermott.
