NEW HARBOUR WEST, N.S. — A woman has died in an accident involving an ATV.
On Oct. 10 at 8:35 p.m. Guysborough District RCMP responded to a call of an overturned ATV on Amos Gillies Rd. When police arrived on scene they found a woman had been pinned by the ATV which had left the roadway and gone over an embankment. The 62-year-old woman from New Harbour West was deceased. No one else was involved in the collision.
RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Clarke said the woman appears to have been out alone when the collision happened and said the accident was reported by someone who came upon it.
Guysborough District RCMP is investigating the matter, which is ongoing.
