The Hillside Community Society is the proud new owner of land after purchasing a lot that once housed a school in the area for one dollar from the Municipality of Pictou County. The society plans to construct a new community centre on the land in the next two years. The group is currently fundraising and accepting donations for the project. On hand for the exchange of the dollar for the deed are Coun. Peter Boyles, left, Warden Robert Parker, society president Sadie Boyles and society treasurer Verna Langley.
