HOPEWELL, N.S. — A Pictou County man was displaced by a fire early Tuesday that destroyed his mini-home in the rural community of Hopewell, about 15 kilometres south of New Glasgow.
The man was not injured from the fire, which was reported shortly before 1 a.m. on Elgin Road.The man is staying with a relative for now and has been helped by Canadian Red Cross volunteers with emergency purchases like clothing, food, some other basics and transportation assistance.
