Jeff Davis of New Glasgow has been chosen by the Pictou Centre Liberal Association to be their standard-bearer for the next provincial election.
Davis, a senior account executive at Vendasta Technologies, was nominated this past Sunday.
"I proudly accept the Liberal nomination to run in the next provincial election," Davis said. "My priorities will be to foster the economic development we need to attract and retain young families, and to give a voice to Pictou County at the government table."
He ran unopposed at the nomination meeting, held at Summer Street Industries in New Glasgow.
Davis works with Vendasta Technologies and is co-founder of StashBelt, a company that manufactures leather moneybelts and travel bags in Kenya. He also worked extensively as a journalist, with Foreign Affairs Canada in several capacities, and as peacekeeping trainer.
In addition to his extensive entrepreneurial experience, Davis is a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters and has helped mentor refugees during the resettlement process in Canada.
