A man was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on Highway 7 in Musquodoboit Harbour.
The man, 24, of Head of Jeddore, was the driver of a vehicle that left the highway and struck a pole at about 2:20 a.m. Police and fire crews responded to the crash scene after staff at the nearby Twin Oaks hospital called RCMP to report that a disoriented woman had come in with a cut on her face.
The RCMP quickly determined she had been a passenger in the crash. The woman was taken to hospital in Dartmouth for further treatmment.
The highway has been closed as police investigate but it's expected to reopen at about 10 a.m., RCMP said in a news release Wednesday morning.
