Man faces trial over damage at business

A 61-year-old Pictou man will go to trial in January for charges of carrying a weapon and mischief.

Harry Benvie Johnson entered not guilty pleas in Pictou provincial court on Monday for charges of carrying a pick axe with the purpose of committing an offence and mischief by damaging a coin box/operational panel with a pick axe at South Main Car Care, both with an alleged offence date of July 1, 2017, in Westville.

His trial was set for Jan. 16, 2018.
