PICTOU – A 19-year-old New Glasgow man has pleaded not guilty to stealing a truck owned by Thompson Bros. Roofing and Siding company.

Brett Edward Hennessey will go to trial on June 3 in Pictou Provincial Court after entering the not guilty pleas Monday.  He is accused of stealing the truck from Stellarton on Dec. 23 and driving into the side of a Dartmouth hotel.

Hennessey is also charged with breach of probation and an alleged theft valued at less than $5,000 from an incident on Jan. 21. He pleaded not guilty to these charges as well and they will also be dealt with in June.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Dale Kass MacInnis of Linacy is also charged in the truck theft and will return to court in March to enter a plea.
