NEW GLASGOW – New Glasgow town crier Jim Stewart will be a part of Nova Scotia’s Tree for Boston event taking place today, Nov. 20.
Stewart will make the official presentation of the Nova Scotia Tree to Boston Parks and Recreation at a ceremony at 11 a.m. EST (noon AST) on the Boston Common.
“To once again be a part of this tradition is truly an honor and I am proud to represent Nova Scotia and New Glasgow,” said Stewart.
The tree is a thank you to the people of Boston for the assistance they provided Halifax after the Halifax Explosion on Dec. 6, 1917.
