North Nova Education Centre will become a skilled trades site in the next year or two offering more opportunities for Pictou County students.
“There is a lot of excitement here at North Nova as a result of the announcement,” said acting Principal Lia Lewis. “Skilled Trades has been a program that our school community has hoped for over the past number of years. Our students and community will benefit greatly from this addition.”
The school has been tasked with deciding what two skilled trade courses will be offered to students. To that end NNEC is requesting input from the community and businesses of Pictou County and have
extended an invitation to attend their community meeting. The meeting will be held in the school’s Presentation Centre on Monday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
