Students at Northumberland Regional High School recently made a donation to Roots for Youth, a non-profit that helps homeless youth in Pictou County. As part of a class project the students organized a community event that served as a musical and artistic fundraiser.

It was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on June 8 and was called Starry Night. The proceeds, which totalled $420, were given to Roots for Youth.
