PICTOU, N.S. — Pictou District RCMP officers arrested two impaired drivers on Sept. 3.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. that day, Pictou District RCMP received several complaints of an erratic driver on Highway 104 near Limerock. RCMP located the vehicle on Highway 104 near Exit 19. It had driven off road into the center median of Hwy 104. The 33-year-old male driver from Truro was arrested for impaired driving. He faces charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level over 80 mg% and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Nov. 25.

Later that day, at approximately 10 p.m., the RCMP received a complaint about a possible impaired driver travelling east on Hwy. 104 between New Glasgow and Antigonish. Police located the vehicle on Hwy 4 in Egerton and investigation at the scene resulted in the 22-year-old female driver from Pictou County being arrested for impaired driving. She faces charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level over 80mg% and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Dec. 2.
