PICTOU – Pictou District RCMP arrested a 46-year-old man and a 48-year-old man for impaired driving this past weekend.
On March 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Pictou District RCMP received a complaint of an erratic driver. The complaint originated from Enfield and the driver had continued through Colchester County into Pictou County before being stopped.
RCMP intercepted the vehicle on Highway 104 near Exit 19. The 46-year-old male driver from Dartmouth was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples that were over three times the legal limit.
He faces charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level over 80 mg% and is scheduled to appear in Pictou court on June 10.
On March 31 at approximately 2 a.m., RCMP observed a vehicle driving erratically in the town of Pictou. Police stopped the vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver, a 48-year-old man from Lucasville – in the Halifax area – being arrested for impaired driving.
He faces charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level over 80 mg% and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
