PICTOU – RCMP are urging motorists to lock their vehicles when they are left parked in a driveway or left unattended.

During the last week of June, Pictou County District RCMP received five complaints in the Linacy area of Pictou County over a two-day period. These thefts were from unlocked vehicles parked in driveways.

Pictou District RCMP are asking motorists to please ensure they always lock their vehicles when unattended, remove valuables from sight, and never leave their keys in an unattended vehicle. By taking these precautions, people will decrease your risk of theft.
