RIVERTON
Guy Pellerine says he has come full circle as he takes on the role of chief executive officer for the Riverview Home.
Pellerine, of Westville, worked at Riverview years ago as its recreation director and left for other career experiences. He was recently hired to fill the spot of CEO which was left vacant by the retirement of Patricia Bland.
“This has been a full circle journey for me,” he said during a retirement and welcome celebration for Bland and Pellerine Monday at the home. “Over the course of my career I have been gathering tools and skills in many different jobs.”
Pellerine was remembered by some of the home’s residents who said, “welcome back stranger” during the service.
Bland, who has been the home’s chief administrator for a little over seven years, was praised by the Riverview Home Corporations board of directors, staff and volunteers for leading the recent renovations in addition to her administrative duties.
“It’s been a joy,” he said.
Bland thanked the staff, board, volunteers and residents for their kindness over the years and said she would be back as the newest member of the volunteer board.
“There has been a lot of work behind the scenes that created a workplace of a strong and solid foundation,” she said. “Guy is the right man take that foundation forward. It has been my pleasure working here and I look forward to visiting you as a private citizen as we move forward.”
