STELLARTON, N.S. — Canada's only rural innovation hub has opened its second location in Stellarton.
Ignite Labs. Inc is offers a co-working environment for up to eight tenants, all startup businesses, that are looking for mentorship.
In branching out to Stellarton, the Yarmouth-based innovation hub is hoping to boost Pictou County's innovation ecosystem.
"This is all about reducing barriers for entrepreneurs," said Ignite's Northern Regional Manager, Sebastien Green. "You can come to us just with an idea.
Located at 39 Acadia Avenue Ignite has room for up to eight tenants.
"We'll take you all the way from even the pre-idea stage all the way to the market," said Greene enthusiastically inside of Ignite's new digs.
Tenants with Ignite gain access to the working space and, according to a news release, they will gain access to mentors with knowledge and experience in technology, finance, governance, commercialization, marketing and law.
