STELLARTON - Camilla MacDonald and her son Cal happily cut, pasted and stamped a custom-made Christmas card and crafts for her husband at Stellarton library Saturday.

The mother-son duo from Stellarton just happened to swing by their local library by chance, where a table was set up for anyone wishing to make their own card, a fun and free festive activity for everyone.

“We didn’t know that this was going on and we were really excited to see it, so we are creating some crafts for Cal’s dad and making some Christmas cards,” said MacDonald.

She was enjoying spending time with “my little guy,” adding that they were both into creative expression.

“We’re kind of trying out some different stamps and scrap book stuff, aren’t we?” MacDonald said to Cal.

Her son enjoyed playing with the stamps and the two of them are finishing up some other crafts at home, namely magnets for Cal’s dad.

The library set up its arts and crafts table for would-be card builders on Dec. 9 and is running it until Dec. 23 during its regular hours.
