NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — On Saturday, Feb. 2 at approximately 10:40 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police, New Glasgow Fire Department and Emergency Health Services responded to a 911 call and attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a 2010 Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian at the intersection of Abercrombie Road and Elm Street, New Glasgow.
The 65-year-old female pedestrian from New Glasgow, was travelling across Abercrombie Road in a marked crosswalk, when the driver of the Toyota Corolla collided with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported by EHS to Aberdeen Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 29-year-old male from Pictou County was charged with Failing to Yield to Pedestrian in Crosswalk under the Motor Vehicle Act.
New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
