Pictou County District RCMP are investigating an armed robbery in the Town of Pictou.

Police say about 9:40 p.m. Thursday, they responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a convenience store on West River Road in Pictou.

Upon attending the location, RCMP confirmed that a male suspect wearing a hoodie, a black mask and gloves entered the store armed with a knife and demanded cash from the employee. The male suspect was described as being just under six-feet-tall, of medium build, in his late twenties to early thirties. The male suspect departed the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was injured as a result of this incident.

The investigation is continuing and RCMP is asking anyone who has information or may have witnessed this incident to call Pictou District RCMP at 902-755-4141.
