A driver who was clocked at 70 kilometres per hour over the speed limit in Fall River has been charged with stunting.
The 19-year-old man was going 170 km/h on Highway 102 at about 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, Halifax District RCMP said in a news release Tuesday.
A patrol officer stopped the vehicle and charged the driver. His vehicle was impounded and he was fined $2,422.
Speeding is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads, the release said. Anyone who witnesses unsafe driving can call RCMP at 1-800-803-RCMP (7267) or 911.
