NEW GLASGOW, N.S.

Glen Haven Manor has released a new information booklet which is a comprehensive and user-friendly resource for potential residents as well as current residents and their families. The booklet is an expansion and update of previously produced publications.

The new publication was presented at the December meeting of the Glen Haven Manor Family Assembly.

“It was very well received by residents’ families in attendance and we are pleased to expand upon previous editions and to offer extensive information on the exceptional individualized quality care provided by the Glen Haven team,” said Glen Haven CEO Lisa M. Smith.

“This will be a great information resource for those considering Glen Haven as their home as well as a communications tool for our current residents and their families.”

The new, 24-page, full-colour document offers information on quality and resident care, resident care areas, residents’ rights, health and safety, basic services, all departments, therapeutic service, policies, room assignments, moving-in guidelines, nutrition, recreational programming as well as other useful family and visitor information. The publication also provides valuable contact information such as the Office of the Ombudsman, Protection for Persons in Care, the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, and the Nova Scotia Health Authority. It will be presented in both flipbook and PDF formats on the Glen Haven Manor Website with print copies also available.
