PICTOU, N.S. — Feel better to heal better.

That was the message coming out of Pictou United Church basement on June 7 as 55 volunteers assembled to cut, sew and stich over 700 pillow cases.

Each of colorful pillow case will be sent to Nova Scotian children who are coping with life-changing illiness and injuries.

Each pillow case is laundered in unscented detergent and made with 100 per cent cotton before being packaged in ziplocked bags and delivered, for the first time ever, to all six hospitals in the province that have pediatric beds.

Ryan's Case for Smiles took place in the Pictou United Church on June 7 between 9 and 3:30.
