SYDNEY, N.S. — Two men have entered guilty pleas on weapon offences and will now be sentenced Thursday.
Joshua Ryan Burns, 26, of Yorke Street, Sydney, and Kevin Thomas Forrest, 23, of Bras d’Or, were charged in connection with an Oct. 19 incident in Sydney.
Burns pleaded guilty to pointing a firearm, uttering a threat and three counts of breaching court orders by possessing weapons and failing to stay away from a residence. He also pleaded guilty to two other breaches that occurred in August.
Forrest pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon (a handgun), uttering a threat and two counts of breaching court orders – failing to adhere to a curfew and possession of a weapon.
Both men continue to be on remand.
