PICTOU, N.S. — Pictou District RCMP arrested two people for driving offences involving alcohol this past weekend.
On Oct. 26 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Pictou District RCMP responded to a complaint of an erratic driver in Welsford. Police located the vehicle and stopped it. Investigation at the scene resulted in the 20-year-old male driver from River John being arrested. The accused is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Dec. 27.
On Oct. 27 at approximately 9:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in Pictou Landing. RCMP officers arrested the 36-year-old female driver from Blue Mountain, at the scene. She was later released and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Dec. 27.
