HALIFAX — Police say a Nova Scotia boy badly injured when the lawn tractor he was riding on tipped over is now on life-support.
In a statement Tuesday evening, RCMP said the eight-year-old boy was being kept on life-support to allow his organs to be donated.
He was airlifted to hospital in Halifax following the accident near a home on Canaan Road in Morristown on Sunday.
Police say they received a 911 call at about 4 p.m. and that first aid was administered by two adults and two police officers.
Arrangements were then made to fly him to hospital for further medical treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident, but say they do not consider it suspicious at this time.
