SYDNEY, N.S. — Cape Breton Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving an incident of theft in Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, RCMP received a report of theft involving a set of four solar panels.

The panels were used to activate the temporary lights along highway construction in the national park. Damage was also caused to wires and cables of the light system.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Cheticamp RCMP at 902-224-2050.

To remain anonymous phone Crime Stoppers at 902-562-8477. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to caller ID; calls are not taped or traced and you never have to reveal your identity.
