Douglas Lawless

Little Harbour - C. Douglas Lawless, age 74, passed away in the Aberdeen Hospital, May 17, 2018. Born in Truro, April 14, 1944, he was a son of the late James and Johannah (Dort) Lawless. Douglas was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force and later worked at Perry Rand Buses in New Glasgow. He loved driving the bus and had lots of stories to bring home from his trips. He loved all sports especially softball, and fishing with his family. Douglas will be sincerely missed by his wife, Dorothy (Rogers); daughter, Michelle (Danny) Beauregard, two granddaughters, Nicole and Chelsey, and great-granddaughter, Payten, Medicine Hat, Alberta; brother, Russell (Maureen); sister, Barbara; sisters-in-law, Alice Fraser and Jean Rogers; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by mother and father-in-law, Lillian and James Rogers; brothers-in-law, Tom Rogers, Arnold Fraser and John Russell; sister-in-law, Isabel White. There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
