Edison Willian "Bud" Dean

Edison William “Bud” Dean, 60 of Westville passed away on Tuesday January 1, 2019 with his family by his side in the Victoria General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Sheik “S.K.” and Edna (MacLeod) Dean of Westville. Bud was an accountant by profession and had operated his family clothing store for several years on Main Street, Westville. Bud was a huge Boston Bruins fan and even named his little pet dog “Chara”. Although a quiet and gentle person, he enjoyed playing his guitar, cards games and most of all joking with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Shirley MacDonald (John Dan MacPherson); Bonnie (Mike Snook); Gina (Stephen Hoare); Darlene MacNeil (Lloyd); his brothers Karl; Jerry (Lisa) and Garfield (Pat); his partner Rose and by many nieces and nephews, and several grand-nieces and nephews . Bud was predeceased by his brothers, Karam and Jim “Caldy” Mitchell, niece Crystal and grand niece Layla. Visitations will be held on Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held on 11 am Saturday at Eagles Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
