Esther Fortier

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Esther, on Saturday, October 13th, after a short fight with cancer, at the QE 2 Health center in Halifax. Esther, daughter of late Guy Fortier and late Lise Vandry was predeceased by her two older brothers Denys and Marc Fortier and is survived by her sisters Johanne Guay (Nicholas), Tina Fortier (Jim Wood) and her younger brother Alexis Fortier (Sheila Harvey), as well as several nephews and nieces and her beloved black lab Charlie. Esther will be remembered in her community for her charitable work and her kind heart. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest with her family in Quebec City at a later date surrounded by her immediate family. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the Aberdeen hospital and the QEII Health Center who were so dedicated and compassionate in their care of our sister.
