HUGHES, James 'Jim' Allan James “Jim” Allan Hughes - Passed away home on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Edwards) for 57 years. Loved father to Kelly-Lynn Hughes and Judy Hughes. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Caitlan. Son of the late William & Mary Hughes of New Glasgow, N.S. Survived by one brother, Ronald (Teresa). Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Eve (Fred), John, Frank (Reta), Kay (Herb), Edwin (Doris), Tony (Helen), Vince, Teresa (Paul), Laurie (Patsy), Danny (Mary), and a stillborn sibling. Friends will be received at WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (170 Steel Street, Barrie) on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 o’clock p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
