John Angus Poulain

POULAIN, John Angus, 97, of New Glasgow, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019. Born October 26, 1922 in Thorburn, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Reid) Poulain. He was a retired Circulation Manager with the Evening News and woodworking instructor at Summer Street Industries. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mildred (Charlton) Poulain; daughters, Shirley (Ron) McNeill, Abercrombie, Sherry (Bernie) Berube, Vernon, BC; son, John (Heather) Poulain, Stellarton; grandchildren, Mark (Desirea) McNeill, Chris and Katelyn Berube, Jacqueline (David) Sobey; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Poulain, Stellarton. He was predeceased by a sister, Marion (James) Meikle. Special thanks to Dr. Melanie McCara; staff of High Crest Place for your loving care; staff of Palliative Care at the Aberdeen Hospital. There will be no visitation or funeral by request. Family burial will take place in Abercrombie Cemetery.
