We the family announce the passing of Kenneth Robert Gordon, 61, of Hamilton Road, Westville who died peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, with his son by his side. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years Suzanne (Henderson); children, Kenny (LeeAnn), Stellarton; Krista Mace (Randy), High River Alberta; Kimberly Gordon (J.P. Martel), Kingston; grandchildren, Kennedy, Bryce; Addison, Kailey; Mia. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce Gordon, Westville; sisters, Rebecca Lightfoot (Laurie), Canning; Cindy (Hughie) MacLeod, Middleton; Esther (Rocco) DiFabio, North Side East Bay; Bonnie (Wayne) Curtis , Edmonton; brother Donnie (Kim), Gordon, Westville; and father and mother-in-law Herb and Marg Henderson, Stellarton. He was predeceased by his father Arnold; brother Arnold “Ginner”; sister Linda Leadbeater; grandparents Cameron and Esther Gordon; and Harry and Ethel Haslam; and his beloved Cubbie. Ken was known to his friends as “Hound dog”. He was employed with Nova Scotia Power for over 30 years. Very sports minded, Ken enjoyed playing volleyball and hockey, was a member of the Pictou Co. Pool Club and enjoyed driving his motorcycle and watching Nascar races. He was also an avid Flyers and Jeff Gordon fan. During a lengthy illness he enjoyed time with his family, his Deagle drives, Tuesdays with Donnie and John, Thursdays with Shane and his nightly check up calls from Esther. His family will receive visitors on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Barrett Clair-Johnson officiating. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
