It is with broken hearts, the daughters of Marie Sibilde announce her peaceful passing on Sunday June 10, 2018 in the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit with her family by her side. Mom was born in New Glasgow, raised in Stellarton, but was a true Northender at heart. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. Mom was a homemaker while raising her family, then worked a K-Mart & retired from the Aberdeen School of Nursing, where she was a member of their housekeeping staff. Mom loved being on the go, visiting friends & family, baking batches of Gelettes & tasty apple pies for her grandchildren. However, she especially cherished spending quality time with her sister & brothers. Mom was the daughter of the late William & Mabel (Fogarty) Hoare. She leaves behind her daughters Michelle (Tom) Steele, Donna (John)White & Denise (Barry) Thompson; sister Joyce Campbell & brothers Donnie (Kay) Hoare & David (Sharon) Hoare; grandchildren Benjie Murphy, Angela Burns, Dannie & Derek MacDonald & Hayley Thompson. great granddaughters: Chloe & Frankie Burns, Mylie Fraser; Kayla & Janelle MacDonald; & Great Grandson Griffin MacDonald along with many nieces, nephews & cousins. Besides her parents, mom will be reunited with her brothers: Bob, Bernie, Dougie, Bumper; grandson Frank; brother in law Gordon Campbell & sisters in law Marion & Mabel Hoare. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 o’clock with Father Barret Clair Johnson officiating.. Burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations made in her memory to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society would be greatly appreciated. Lovingly submitted by her family.
