LEVY, Mark Allan – Lower Sackville / Calgary passed away March 12, 2018 in his 37th year- son of Rosemary de Best (Simon), Westville, and the late Allan Levy, Dartmouth, Brother of Richard Levy, Calgary, uncle of Justin Levy, Calgary, grandson of the late John and Norma Wood, Westville, the late Allan and Gladys Levy, Dartmouth, nephew of Gary and Ruth Wood, Lower-Sackville – Mark was one of 5 cousins. Mark was a former member of Sack-A-Wa canoe club and a former student of Sackville High. Mark was employed as a field supervisor at Armtec precast, Calgary. He could not wait for his free days to load up the truck with camping and fishing gear, drive to the mountains and lakes with his brother and nephew for days of fly fishing and evenings by the campfire, always carrying a can of bear spray. Mark was passionate about fly fishing and he made his own flies. Donations in Mark's memory can be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Mark's cremation was entrusted to McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home, Calgary. A farewell gathering was held in their Deerfoot South location, another will be held in Lower Sackville. Interment in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville at a later date. A tree has been planted in the Memorial Forrest Fish Creek Provincial Park Calgary, Alberta in Mark's memory- “ A tree represents quiet strength, beauty, longevity and peacefulness.”
