Murial Boyce (Embree)

BOYCE, Muriel (Embree)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Muriel Boyce (Embree), 93, of Westville, left us on Thursday, September 12, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Janet Embree. Muriel is predeceased by her two brothers, Lawrence and William Embree, and is survived by her sister, Joan Embree. Muriel was an incredible lady, full of spark, who loved life and cherished friendships. She was always available to help or entertain her close friends and family. Those who knew her witnessed her quick wit and remarkable sense of humour. They also saw a person of great generosity and undeniable strength and fortitude. Muriel was an avid reader and spent many hours immersed in her favourite books but she was always available for a good game of cards or a lengthy chat. At 16 Muriel married her husband, the late William Boyce and military postings brought them to New Brunswick, Halifax, and finally home to Westville. Together they raised five children and one grandson. Muriel is predeceased by daughter, Sharon, and is survived by Ken (Terry), Charmaine, Janice, Gayle Marie (Barry) and Ray (Melissa). She will also be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Leah, and her three other grandsons, Jeffrey (Cyndy), Jared (Andrea), Ryan (Kim), along with her 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Samantha (Jeffrey), Ashley, Edwin, Cassidy, Zoe, Sebastian, Kenneth, Kailee and Gabriel; two great-great grandchildren, Shila and Jeffrey and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Her funeral service will be held 11 o’clock Tuesday, September 17 at the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca.
