Peter Stickney

Peter Charles Stickney, age 79 of New Glasgow, passed away from septic infection Sunday, April 15, at the VG Hospital. Born in Montreal, son of the late John Chipman and Constance Stickney. Survived by loving wife, Lynn Beveridge, son, Jonathan and granddaughter Emily Stickney of Halifax. Peter was a graduate of Loyola (Concordia) University, BA, McGill University, B.Ed., and Dalhousie Law School. He was a beloved teacher in Quebec and was a respected lawyer of Nova Scotia Legal Aid until retirement. He believed in helping those less fortunate. He was a musician (guitar) which his friends will remember along with his quick wit. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
