Margaret “Robin“ Bruce Pictou Landing, formerly Stellarton passed away on Sunday Dec 16th ,2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow. Born November 11,1942 in new Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Willa Chadwick(Carrigan) and Arthur James (A. J) Leigh. Robin will be forever loved and deeply missed by her sister, Ardyth Leigh, Pictou Landing. Son, Douglas Bruce jr. Pictou Landing. Daughters Dawn Bruce, New Glasgow and Shannon (Tom) MacKenzie Pictou Landing . Grandchildren, Steven, Robyn, Joslyn, Tristan, Dylan, Taylor and Ripley Bruce. Caitlyn, Meagan and Ryan Mackenzie. And 16 great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Douglas (Butch) Bruce, daughter Kimberly Bruce, Stepfather Russell Chadwick. Worked at Electra home , The Heather, The Peter Pan, The Skillet, The Lobster Bar, Lynn's Gifts and finally the Highland Square Lottery Booth where she retired from. Robin loved her family unconditionally and had a sweet smile for everyone. She was fiercely independent and loved a good argument. She had a green thumb and was happiest in her flower gardens. She loved to craft and over the years excelled at many. Knitting, sewing, ceramics, and most recently jewelry making and beaded crafts. Of all of her accomplishments, her biggest was being a wonderful mother. She was the center of her family, little sister ,ma, mudder, nanny, grammie. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 12th ,2019 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. in the Royal Canadian Legion Br#29 Trenton. Donations made in her name to The Salvation Army, Aberdeen Palliative Care or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W.Angus Funeral Home.
