Ross Martin

Trenton - James Ross Martin, 1932 – 2018. It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Ross Martin, of Trenton, on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the age of 85, after a very brief stay in Palliative Care at the Aberdeen Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Edna; two sons, George Martin and Robert Martin (Tana); son-in-law, John Martell; grandson, Jeffrey Martin in infancy; mother, Catherine and father, Henry; brother, George; and sister, Iris (Jack). He is survived by his daughter, Patsy Martell, at home; sons: Ross (Susan) Martin, Trenton; Jimmy (Terry) Martin, Trenton; David (Duc) Martin, B.C.; Jack (Brenda) Martin, Truro; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a chosen son, Donnie (Helen) Murray, Trenton. Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting with his Veteran buddies at the Trenton Legion listening to their stories. He worked at Hawker Siddeley (Trenton Works) until his retirement. Before that, he worked at Morton’s Grocery Store in Trenton. As per his request, there will be no visitation or service. A private burial for Mom and Dad will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Palliative Care.
