Shirley Macewan

E. Shirley MacEwan, 96 of Westville passed on Friday, October 12, 2018 in Valley View Villa. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude (Joudrey) Salter. A lifelong resident of Westville, Shirley was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge for over 60 years holding many offices. In her earlier years, she was active in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, the Westville Heritage Club and the Westville Curling Club. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Trudy Taylor (Fred); very special niece Katherine Saunders; 3 grand children and 5 great grand children. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Percy; son Percy “Spike” MacEwan; sister Ivy Stewart and brothers Bruce, John, Max, and Fernie Salter. Thank you to the Staff of Valley View Villa or the care given to Shirley. There will be no visitations or funeral service. A grave side service will be held 1:30pm Tuesday, October 16 at the Auburn Cemetery, Westville with Rev. Greg Dickson officiating.
