LETTER: Kindness should not go unrecognized

To the editor:

Many thanks to Aron from Todd's taxi in Stellarton for noticing my wallet in the Westside Sobeys parking lot on Saturday, Feb. 23.

After participating in the Coldest Night of the Year walk, I had stopped in for a few groceries and unbeknownst to me, the wallet had fallen out of my handbag. Aron tracked me down through Facebook and called our home at 9:30 p.m. to let me know he had it. He assured me the contents were all intact and even apologized for opening it to find out who its owner was.

Such acts of honesty and kindness should not go unrecognized. I feel very fortunate to live in a community where we can still count on people “doing the right thing!”
