PICTOU, N.S. –
The Fundy Highland Subway Selects Atom AA hockey team picked up three points in three games this past weekend.
Game #1 was held at BMO Centre in Dartmouth on Feb. 2 vs the second-ranked Metro West Force Blue and ended in a 1-1 tie. Scoring for the Selects was Rogan Vint, assisted by Sophie Hatchard and Ryley Woolley.
Games #2 and #3 were held at the Hector Arena in Pictou on Feb. 3, with home games vs Metro West Force White. The first game was a loss, but the second game was a huge 2-1 win for the young team, where for the first time this season they outshot their opponent 28-26 and picked up two points in the standings.
Scoring in the first game was Chloe Ferguson assisted by Mollie Cleary and Sophie Hatchard assisted by Lexi MacIntyre. Both goals in the winning game were scored by Hatchard, unassisted. Kenli Ross was in nets for all three games.
