WESTVILLE ROAD, N.S. –The Pictou County Bantam A Crushers have captured the Northern conference championship after defeating the Sydney Steelers 11-1 in recent play.
Scoring for the Crushers was Ty Briand with a hat trick, Dawson MacKay and Seth Gallant both had a pair of tallies and singles came from Cameron Munroe, Colby Nichol, Josh MacDonald and Kayden Moulaison. Blake MacLellan set up three goals, Dawson MacKay, Kaleb Melanson and Carter Dauphinee each had a pair of helpers, while Brennan Hood, Ty Briand, Jake Henderson, and Seth Gallant also collected assists.
The winning goalie was Chloe Stroud.
The Crushers will now take on TASA during the Day of Champions event, which will be held April 12 at 5 p.m., at the Rath Centre in Truro.
