WESTVILLE ROAD, N.S. – The Fundy Highland Bantam A Selects took home silver from the Subway Cup held last weekend at the Pictou County Wellness Center. 
On Jan. 3, the girls tied 2-2 with the Metro West Raiders. Scoring for the Selects were Rylan Biron and Lucia Mason, while player of the game was Namara Clarke. 
The next day, the Selects blanked the Pownal Red Devils 2-0. Scoring for the Selects were Biron and Clarke, with Emma MacLeod assisting on both goals. Player of the game was Anna Stewart. 
In an afternoon tilt with Fundy Highland Cyclones, the local girls continued to play solid defence, winning 4-0. Getting goals were Addison Mathieu, Mason, Clarke and Hallie Hillier, with assists to Alexis Tulloch, Brooke MacIntosh, Mason and Clarke. Player of the game was Addison Mathieu. 
They then met the Raiders on Sunday morning in crossovers and again, the Selects would prevail with a 2-0 win. Scoring for the Selects were Biron and Mallory Sangster. Assists to Raleigh MacDonald, Alyssa Ells and Anna Stewart and player of the game was Kylee Alexander with her third shutout in a row. 
The win had the girls face the top team in the province –  the Metro Wildcats. The locals lost 6-1 in a hard-fought battle. Scoring for the Selects was Raleigh MacDonald, with an assist to Clarke.
