Bantam AA squad wins two out of three

NEW GLASGOW – 

The New Glasgow Sullivan Fuels Bantam AA baseball team picked up two wins and a loss in Nova Scotia Bluenose League action this past weekend.

On Friday, the Fuel traveled to Truro and were defeated 3-2.

Jax Graham, Carter Dickson, and Cory MacGillivray shared mound duties for New Glasgow, only giving up five hits.

Ethan Tibbetts went 2-for-2 at the plate, while Lane Lochead, Dickson and MacGillivray each had a hit.

On Saturday, the locals defeated the Stellarton Albions by scores of 5-4 (extra innings) and 15-3. In Game #1, Jared Langille went five-plus innings on the mound, with relief help from Ashton Royea and Lochead.

New Glasgow scored three runs in the top half of the seventh inning to force extra innings. Gage Connors picked up two hits, Tanner Steele, Peyton Clements, Ethan Tibbetts, Brennan Dalton, and MacGillivray had single hits.

In the second game, Adam Farrell went deep for the Fuel while Steele, Lochead, Langille, and Dickson had two hits apiece.

Lochead picked up the win on the mound, while Graham came in to finish up the pitching duties for New Glasgow.
