The Pictou County Major Bantam Bombers collected two road wins this past weekend, jumping over the .500 mark with a 7-6-1 record.
On Sunday in Lunenburg, Jayden Duplessis had a goal and an assist as the Bombers beat the South Shore Bantam Lumberjacks 4-1. Ben Wallace, Eastyn Cameron and Lane Lochead also collected goals, Drew MacKinnon had a pair of helpers and Jorja Burrows made 22 saves to record the victory in goal.
On Saturday in St. Margaret’s Bay, Cole Battist made 25 stops in goal as the Bombers beat the Gulls 5-3. Reese Smith, Logan Crosby, Cameron, Lochead and Cameron all had goals in a balanced Pictou County attack, and Kaden Smith had a two-assist effort.
The Bombers will play two at home this coming weekend at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. ACCEL are in Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. game, and the Dartmouth Whalers take on the Bombers on Sunday (11:30 a.m. start).
